Tell us a little about LandJourney Technologies
LandJourney provides modern loan origination and servicing software tailored specifically for agricultural lenders.
What inspired you to start Landjourney Technologies?
There was a clear gap in the ag community for lending software that was both agriculture-specific and built with modern APIs, AI, and automation. We set out to strengthen farmer–banker relationships and help lenders prepare for the next generation of farmers.
What sets your business apart from competitors?
Landjourney has few—if any—direct competitors in this space. What makes us unique is that our software isn’t generalized for commercial lending. It’s purpose-built for the intricacies of ag lending, helping solve many of the common frustrations in the industry. The result is a lending process that’s faster, more transparent, and more aligned with farmers’ needs.
What’s one thing you wish you had known when you were starting your business?
The level of risk aversion in ag lending toward adopting new technologies is much higher than we initially expected.
How do you manage work-life balance?
We focus on doing quality work when it needs to get done, but we also prioritize time with family and friends—and make a point to get outside and enjoy all that Colorado has to offer!
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Hearing positive feedback from users who say our platform makes a real difference. By shortening the loan application and origination process, we help ensure that farmers get the funds they need to keep their operations—and livelihoods—running smoothly.
How has being part of the Strive Boulder community impacted you and your business?
Strive has provided a vibrant and energizing work environment for us. As a small company with only two team members based in the U.S., it’s been great to be surrounded by other professionals and to have access to both traditional office amenities and the unique touches that Kindra brings to the space!
If you had a friend visiting, where would you take them to enjoy the best of your community?
Chautauqua is a must for anyone visiting Boulder for the first time. After that, I’d take them for a walk down Pearl Street to grab some food and a drink!
