Tell us a little about GVC Real Estate.

GVC Real Estate is a top-performing team under Douglas Elliman, specializing in luxury resale and new development across New York City, New Jersey, and Florida. Founded by John Gasdaska, Jonathan Conlon, and TJ Verdiglione, with Catherine serving as our Director of Marketing, our team brings a rare combination of expertise in high-end sales, new development strategy, and business operations. We offer a true white-glove experience for both individual clients and developers, handling everything from pricing strategy to marketing, staging, and even the full design process. Whether it’s positioning a new luxury development for maximum market impact or ensuring a seamless sale for a high-net-worth client, we take care of every detail, allowing our clients to focus on their next move with confidence.

 

What inspired you to start GVC Real Estate?

The perfect blend of specialties. Our combined experience in new development sales, high-end resale, and business operations gave us a unique edge—one that allows us to offer far more than just real estate transactions. For developers, we don’t just sell; we take on the entire design and positioning process, ensuring that every detail aligns with market demand. That same level of service extends to our resale business, where we curate marketing strategies to maximize value. We are a full-service solution for luxury clients who expect nothing less than excellence.

What’s one thing you wish you had known when you were starting your business?

Looking back, we underestimated just how much our business would evolve in such a short period of time. When we combined our existing teams, we knew we were building something special, but we didn’t fully anticipate how quickly our scope would expand. A year ago, our day-to-day operations looked very different, and now we’re managing an entirely new scale of business. If there’s one lesson we’ve learned, it’s that adaptability is key—you have to be ready to grow and shift in ways you never expected.

 

How do you manage work-life balance?

Luxury real estate is a fast-moving industry, and staying available to clients is critical. That said, we make balance a priority by implementing smart workflows, using automation to streamline tasks, and trusting in our team to keep everything running smoothly. Real estate is unpredictable, but having strong systems in place allows us to stay efficient while also carving out time to recharge.

 

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The most rewarding part of our work is seeing the real impact we make. Whether it’s helping an international buyer secure the perfect home for their child’s future, assisting a seller in achieving a record-breaking sale, or guiding a developer in creating a project that truly stands out in the market—it’s all about delivering results that change lives. And beyond the deals, we love the collaboration that comes with being part of a great team. Seeing our business evolve, pushing the industry forward, and constantly improving keeps us motivated every day.

 

How has being part of the Strive community impacted you and your business?

We’ve been with Strive since July 2024 and have experienced the transition from Expansive to Strive firsthand. The space has provided us with a true home away from home—a place where we can collaborate, grow our team, and stay creative. Having a reliable, professional environment has been a huge asset to our business.

 

If you had a friend visiting, where would you take them to enjoy the best of your community?

All of our one-on-ones happen just down the street at Shake Shack—it’s our go-to spot for a quick and easy lunch. We’ve also enjoyed exploring the local coffee spots around the office, which have become a regular part of our routine
