Founded in Birmingham, Alabama in 2013, Fifth Dimension embraces the future of architecture and construction through the continuous evolution of design and technology. Focusing on a comprehensive approach to creative design solutions, we harness revolutionary tools and concepts that provide long-term benefits to the entire project team. Our expertise in creative and collaborative BIM modeling, along with a new dimension of architectural visualization allows our team to enhance the workflow and relationships between architect, client and contractor. At Fifth Dimension we are creating a symbiotic new dimension in the way the design team functions, while paralleling the ongoing transformation of digital society and its relationship to the evolving urban fabric.
What sets your business apart from your competitors?
We take pride in incorporating innovative design solutions into budget-constrained projects, and we strive to design towards our clients’ budgets from the onset of a project, proposing
cost savings early to prevent costly and time-consuming value-engineering exercises later in the project. Additionally, through our expertise in Building Information Modeling we can create
3D models that permit us and our clients to visualize the design early in the process, which was previously uncommon for multifamily development.
How do you navigate your work-life balance?
Our business is cloud-based and all employees work from laptops. We understand that people have lives outside of work and endeavor to provide flexibility so that individuals can work at any location with only internet connectivity required.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
It is extremely rewarding when clients have a good experience through the design and construction process and return to us with new projects. We value relationships with our clients and hope our expertise and guidance through each project results in their satisfaction as well as a positive contribution to the built environment.
We have been able to grow and add new employees, and we have the space to collaborate and work together in-person more efficiently.
Are there any improvements we could make to help you or your business?
More informal small phone/huddle type rooms for 1-2 people with power for a laptop would be great. We have lots of online meetings and occasionally need privacy or do not want to disturb our teammates.
If you had a friend in town, and you could take them to one of your favorite restaurants or spots in your community, where would you take them?
We enjoy all the neighborhoods in Denver and typically like to take people around Lo-Hi, Union Station area, and RiNo.
We would like to thank the Fifth Dimension team for their enthusiasm in participating in our spotlight series. If you are interested in spotlighting your business with us, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your community manager. We are always eager to help elevate your business in any way we can!
