Today, we have the pleasure of highlighting Erica Brooks Henry with Finish Wealthy, a wealth management firm operating out of Strive Plano. Join us as we learn more about her business and what she finds most rewarding about her work!

Tell us a little about Finish Wealthy.

Finish Wealthy is a financial services and wealth building firm.  We help people pivot from the rat rate of simply making money to Finishing Wealthy.  We do this life insurance, diverse investments and customizing wealth strategies for individuals and families.

What led you to start your company?

I’ve been in financial services corporately and as a 1099 contractor for over 20 years. I identified that most people do not understand money.  Another segment of people has money, but, don’t know to diversity and multiply their earnings.

What sets your business apart from your competitors?

I combine proven financial principles and custom strategies with biblical truths I align with.  “God has given you the power to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18). I provide the roadmap.

What is something you wish you’d known when you were just starting your business?

I wish I would’ve known the importance of systems, automation and identifying my ideal client earlier.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

I help individuals and family create a legacy, leave an inheritance and protect it through wealth, estate and succession planning.

What is something you have learned about yourself/the industry since starting your business?

I take other’s success personally; therefore, I’m relational and not transactional.  I also learned that there one size fits call is null and void with finances. Customizing solutions is a must.

If you could have a conversation over coffee with yourself from 5 years ago, what would you say to her?

Five years ago, I would’ve said, “Erica you can’t do everything yourself.  Hire support staff.  Also, release those who will not do the work quickly.

If you had a friend in town, and you could take them to one of your favorite restaurants or spots in your community, where would you take them?

I would take them to Uncle Julio’s in Frisco or near Highland Park.  Chips and Queso makes everything better. 😊

We’d like to thank Erica for her willingness to participate in our member spotlight series and for teaching us a little more about her work.
